Yaomo 妖魔

Malevolent spirits, in the sense the internal alchemy literature uses when it warns a practitioner. The claim made about them is specific: they feed on qi, they are drawn to a practitioner who is accumulating it, and they trouble the accumulator rather than waiting to be sought out. Distinguished in that literature from spirits in general, which are said to want qi but not to hound anyone for it.
