Shi yue huai tai 十月懷胎
"Ten months of gestation". The canonical span for carrying the immortal embryo, divided in the Zhong-Lü material into a schedule of advancing and withdrawing fire. Figurative in the way a pregnancy is figurative: a fixed sequence rather than a fixed calendar.
