Following any path

Say someone chooses to follow the path that has been laid out. What would a master say is the expected outcome. There are cycles within cycles, the only thing I can see is experience of everything, yet once all is known then do you begin another cycle? Creation and destruction appear infinite to me

A master in Mo Pai would say that the expected outcome of following the path is not a final destination but a continual transformation. The tradition does not describe enlightenment as an endpoint where everything is known and the journey stops. Instead, it presents the path as a series of cycles, each one reshaping the practitioner in deeper and more fundamental ways. Every level contains its own rhythm of accumulation, refinement, destruction, and renewal. These cycles are not obstacles; they are the mechanism through which the practitioner is changed.

Experience is not the goal of the path but the tool that shapes the practitioner. You do not seek to experience everything; rather, the experiences you encounter gradually dissolve the parts of you that cannot continue forward. When one cycle completes, another begins, and each new cycle reveals aspects of reality that were previously inaccessible. Even the highest known stage, the Hsien, is described not as an ending but as a transition into a different mode of existence.

Creation and destruction are not opposites in Mo Pai. They are two sides of the same process. Every refinement of qi destroys impurities and creates clarity. Every breakthrough destroys an old identity and creates a new one. This interplay is infinite because transformation itself is infinite. The practitioner moves through cycles until nothing remains that can be transformed, and even then, the journey does not end — it simply becomes something that cannot be described from the perspective of the person who began it.

In short, the expected outcome is continual transformation. The path unfolds in cycles, each one revealing a deeper layer of reality and a deeper layer of the self. When all cycles are completed, the practitioner does not stop; they simply move beyond the frame of reference that defines beginnings and endings.
